Last week we received a call at 1PM and there was a lady on the other side. She told that she needs a photoshoot to be done of her 2 year old son and she needs it immediately. So, as a standard procedure I started to ask few basic questions which we normally ask to each and every possible customer who calls us. I could sense by her voice that she is in bit rush. Then she told me that her son has just recovered from a kidney operation and now they are going to their native place to perform the Mundan ceremony of their son the same day and they need to catch the train at 5PM and requested us to do the photoshoot in next 1 hour as she needed pictures of her boy in his long and beautiful hairs (as she described it). Till then, I have not photographed any 2 year boy with "long beautiful hairs". So, I thought to give it a try. Then I gave her few suggestions about the boy's dresses which she could bring along for the photoshoot at our in-house studio in Indirapuram(Ghaziabad-UP). As soon as the call gets over, I started to setup the strobe lights, backdrop and assemble our photography props for kids. As agreed, they came around 2PM, all my strobe lights were ON and I was getting my camera & lenses in place for faster access. Then I suddenly saw their kid hiding behind his parents and was feeling very shy & nervous by seeing me and my wife Monika in the room. The kid was actually beautiful and very adorable with long curly hairs as his mother described on phone.

In my mind I know that we have very little time to complete the photoshoot as they need to leave for the train station latest by 3:30PM to board the train on-time. But, we also don't want to spoil the kids mood by forcing the kid to pose for us. as we all know if kids start crying it takes very time (which we don't have at that moment) to get the same 'fresh" looks on their face. So, we let the kid do his own things for a while to make him adapted to the studio environment. It's 2:40PM now but the kid was actually started to go very well with Monika. Finally, I started to click pictures. In another 30 minutes, we changed around 3-4 backdrops and changed kid's clothes also 3-4 times. But, we managed to capture stunning pictures of a sweet and adorable 2 year boy. We finished the photoshoot at around 3:25PM and they all rushed back to their home to leave for the train station.
During the photoshoot they started talking about the recovery story of their son from the Kidney surgery which was a painful journey for kid of that small age which made us very emotional. At the same time we were also feeling very happy and honoured to bring smile on their faces and giving then beautiful pictures of their lovely son which definitely will give them strength to move ahead in their life. This is why I love this profession.

We will continue to share or experiences with you all. Hope you will like them. Until then...take care and keep clicking pictures.
